Wow, I can't beleive that tomorrow is go time. Tomorrow I leave for my wild west adventure. I feel like I've been wating on July 24th for evvveeerrr. Now that its July 23rd, I've got to be honest. I'm a tid bit nervous. I'm not sure why, but I have a little pre trip anxiety going down. Nothing to be too alarmed about, but I'm a little more chicken then I thought. Just me and the open road for a few days... It will all be worth it though. Finally going after something that I have wanted to do for years. I've been collecting supplies, packing clothes, getting white lightening ready, buying healthy snacks, learning to tie fly knots and practicing my cast. I can't wait to round the corner from Colorado and see the Tetons. I get teary eyed just thinking about it. Gah. So tomorrow, I head to Greenville after lunch. Then to Indiana. From Indiana to Kansas City. From the big KC to Boulder/Denver. Luckily I have friends sprinkled all along the way to stay with. Just 2,185 miles stand between me and Jackson. (Emily flies in)Emily and I are going from Denver to Jackson Hole. In Jackson we will do Grand Teton, Yellowstone, fly fish, some more Tetonness, and then we have to hit up the Million Dollar Cowboy Saloon:) Then we head north through Yellowstone all the way up to Whitefish Montana. Ol Herb Sass is flying in to do Glacier National Park with us. Emily leaves and Herb and I are doing some more Glacier and wandering about Whitefish. Hopefully we will do a fishing trip on the Missouri River (dreams will be complete at this point). From there we head east to Mt. Rushmore and Badlands National Park. We will have to make a lil stop at the Cabelas store on this leg... From there- I have no idea which way we are going. But guess what? It doesn't matter... All I know is that I will witness this:
Seriously. I can't believe this is happening. So this is it. you won't see me for 3 weeks. Feel free to call or text as I will be on the lonesome road. Hopefully I will run into a pack of cowboys or something. I will do my best to update the blog, but I make no promises.
Love you long time.
can't wait to dominate the wild wild west with you!!!
