Peace out 2K11

Before we get started:  I'm waiting for my car to get fixed bc it decided to run super hot yesterday as soon as I got out of West Ashley headed to Edisto with my car packed and ready to 4 wheel and shoot some skeet... typical.  Also, last night at around 1am, some drunkard high school boys wrecked into the yard in front of ours.  I got to talk to the cops.  Yeah, I know what you are thinking, I am a badass.  Maybe not.  Here we go.

2011.  It has been a year.  I feel like it has been a jam packed year of good and bad.  Ugly. Pretty.  Here is a little recap in my eyes.

*Betty Bridesmaid worked it pretty hard as a MOH.  She's pretty cool if I do say so myself.  I thought she was retired now, but she's now working on her re-entry
*The job wasn't nearly as bad as last year
*Almost all of my best friends got married or are engaged to be married.  Since I've lost them to marriage, I sure wish that they would go ahead and have babies so I have someone to hang out with.
*Logan got married
*Biz is engaged
*Stephen is engaged
*I am not engaged, but don't get hung up on technicalities.
*Lili has a boyfriend.  A legit, real life, serious bf.  We have come full circle here people
*In July I retired as a youth/small group leader.
*In August...I became a youth/small group leader
*I got my hair braided (full circle once again)
*I liked a bridesmaid dress.  I'm a bit concerned
*I started to finish the book I started writing in college.
*I then decided to quit it and start over.  Bye bye 147 pages
*I decided to love fly fishing.  And everything about it
*I took some pictures.  And liked them.  That's a first
*I made some new friends.  This is a plus.  Both young and old.
*We started non year team Tuesday and it is one of my favorite events of the week.  Just call me Blanche please
*Mozzo
*I actually made up a routine and stuck to it.  For the most part
*Got some new role models. You know, to keep me on my toes
*Transition came back to bite me in the arse.  She's a mean one I tell ya.  We will never be friends
*Transition's, bratty and disgruntled twin sister, Unknown, also made an appearance.  She's not fun to spend any time with either.
*I became friends with healing prayer... ah ha.
*I discovered my hate for rompers.  And fake glasses.
*I became a hair more prissy.  Moving mountains people.
*Got to the lead the best small group on this side of the hemisphere.  I think statistics would say the universe.
*I have crack cookies in my possession (not illegal drugs FYI)
*I began learning the bass.  I still only like to play Ice Ice Baby
*Went to a Taylor Swift concert.  No comment
*Pinterest. has. taken. over. my. daily. routine. and. gets. my. hopes. up.
*I got a twitter.  I know.  Sell out.
*Started liking strings music.  Cool people do it.  Right?

I feel like that pretty much sums up a lot of my year.  I know I am leaving things out, but I'm tired.  And ready for my car to get fixed.  Hurry up....  Resolutions are coming on the next post.  Hopefully.

Make good choices,

SRS

A Zoo

I just saw "We bought a Zoo."  I began to cry at the opening scene.  I then continued to cry throughout the entire movie.  I'm talking hot tears.  The collar of my shirt was sopping wet.  I am sure my face was nice and puffy when the credits started rolling.  It's a good movie people.  Matt Damon is a hottie.  He is getting cuter to me, now that he is aging.  And his two kids, especially the daughter, are ADORABLE.  I give this one 2 thumbs up.  I'm exhausted from crying so I am hitting the sack.

Over and out,

Baby Wags

Before I did the older Wagner girls, I got to take a shot (not pun intended) at baby Wags.  She is precious.  She calls me "Hash."  Not going to lie- I kind of love it.  She and her parental units are pretty dang photo-genic..

Bless their lil hearts

I can't stop laughing at this.  Herb ( my dad is on the far right.)  Bahha.  I never thought that I would see Herb in a snow globe.  Miracles happen everyday...

Worst Idea Ever

This could possibly be my worst nightmere.  Looks extremely painful.  Ain't happening over here.

I seriously just don't understand fashion.  I think my toes would literally break off on the first pair.  As for the second, my ankles would twist before I even put them on.

I think I shall stick to my chacos and wallabees....

Your fashionista,

Got that swag?

I do not.  But, these lil chicas do.  I took a lil photo sesh of the Wagner girls and they turned out pretty cool if I do say so myself....  Here are some of my favs:

Seriously.  They got all beautiful on me.  And old.  This makes me sad.  Oh well:)

Yesterday

I went to the Charleston Chick ornament exchange.  I then proceeded to Ginny Sass' Christmas lunch.  Yum yum in the tum tum.  Next was a pretty sweet photo shoot sesh, but I will post on that later.  I then ventured out to the Senf's.  Here is what went down:
I happened upon this stellar sunset
Next, there was the kitten.  Now you know I am petrified of cats, but I survived.  We were waiting for Al to get home so she could be surprised.  It was actually really sweet.  The cat is in this box
Poor Ed.  He kind of got the shaft
Al came in to find college sister home
 Then opened the box
Began to freak out (I began to tear up)
I think she is tearing up
Here she is with the kitten named baby Sass.  Ok, fine.  Lilly
The I beat a path to McClellanville.  For a party/oyster roast hosted by these fine people
Where Robbie told stories and gave nutrition advice...
But I love him:)  And he is hilarious.
So that was my Saturday.  Today is Herb's Birthday.  It was really yesterday, but we had to delay it to today.  HAPPY BDAY HERB!!

Four Eyes

Here comes another one of my fashion opinions.  Really it is now entering the pet peeve category.  Please, nobody take offense.  This is my opinion.  And my opinion only. Except, I know several other credible sources that share the same opinion that I do.  Just throwing that out there.

FAKE GLASSES

You know, the kind people where that aren't prescription.  The people that wear them don't actually need glasses.  I just don't get it.  Straight up.  Why do you want to being wearing spectacles when you don't need them?

 I have witnessed girls

And boys

Sorry.  This dude looks like a major goob.  Just saying.

Even the Beibs looks ridic with them

It's becoming an epidemic.  I know that I am not in the high fashion know, but I'm going to go ahead and call a spade a spade.  If you don't need four eyes, why not sport your 2 good eyes with pride?

Once again, this post is not to hurt any feelings.  Just needed to get that off my chest.  If you sport fake glasses then obviously you have the confidence to rock it.  And I support that.
