Where did he come from?
It's been a long time coming. I'll be honest here and say that I have not done a good job of getting in the word. I'd say I'm about at 23% when it comes to reading the Bible. 2 out of 10 if you don't understand my percentages. I flat out don't do it. I am such a reader. I think it's mainly because I lack motivation and I can't read it fast. But, excuses are cheap and this is one of my biggest spiritual weaknesses. I have no problem reading books on the Bible or books about our friend the Holy Spirit. As for the Word, I'm a little weak. So this week I got a copy of the Children's Story Book Bible. Yes, the one that all of you moms have received at your un born baby's shower. The one with the kiddie stories and pictures. I decided to start reading it on Monday. Well guess what people??? I am already more than halfway finished. Yep. Ya heard right. I actually cannot put the thing down. I love it. The stories are cool. I am actually catching up on some things that I may have missed when I was a little kidlet. It's cool to read things from a kid's perspective. Now, it does happen to leave out some of the more "unmentionables." Like Hagar and affairs and other bad stuff. It's like the happy version. It's a start right? I was reading on the beach today with Sherri, Becky (HAPPY) and Liz. I discovered something crazy. Somehow over the last 9 years I have been oblivious to the fact that there was a disciple named Thaddeus. I mean, where the heck did he come from?? (I also don't recall ever learning about Bartholomew, but I didn't mention that because they were already shocked that I didn't know about Thad and his whereabouts...) So I was only accounting for 10 of the 12... I knew there were some Johns and Peters and all, but these two threw me for a loop. I also didn't know that much about John the Baptist. Did you know he only ate locusts? I asked my friends on the beach why, expecting a great answer. Not. Apparently he was wild... He baptized Jesus.... Yeah missed that one too somehow... So, this lil gem of a Bible is rocking my world.

Cameron & Evan
This weekend I got to do a couple of cool lil photo seshs. I got to take some pictures of Cameron and Evan who are getting married in August. It was really cool because I haven't seen Cameron in like 487 years. It was hot and really sunny, but they were troopers. Here are a few of my favorites:

Oh whitney..don't do me like that
I miss you, but you did me wrong today. I have gotten myself ahead at work this week so I decided to head out a little early today. After serving at the senior lunch @St. Andrews today, I headed to the beach to get my walk on. Luckily it wasn't too crowded. I absolutely do not like to walk or exercise in a crowd. I like my alone time. So I parked at station 19 and walked to the end of the island. The weather was awesome. It wasn't too sunny, it was cool and I could see Mr. Rain off in the distance. When I walk or really do anything, I like to listen to music. Loudly. And sing along. Hence why I don't like the crowds. Today I was belting it on the beach. I only passed 3 people on my way to the end. On the way back I was super pumped because there was no one in sight and I thought it wasn't possible for anyone to come up from behind because the beach ended. So after listening to the Judd's and some good ol Diamond Rio, Whitney Houston's "I wanna dance with somebody" comes on. Since I was feeling rather chipper I decided to get on down with my bad self. Not gonna lie- I do a pretty good Whitney Houston. Just saying. I was really getting into it. Right about the time I was singing "I wanna feel the heat with somebody" I noticed a figure coming in hot from behind. Right over my shoulder. Scared the be junk out of me and I was mid verse when we made very awkward eye contact. You know how when you are mid verse and the momentum really won't let you stop??? Welcome to my life. So here is this very cute, a little older, shirtless man passing within 1 foot of me while I am belting out "I wanna feel the heat." Yeah. Classy I know. I'd like to say that he stopped, we embraced and he began to duet with me and it was happily ever after. Hum. Not so much. Oh well. There's always tomorrow I guess....
Just keeping it cool,

PS: Taylor Swift's "Keep your eyes open" and new Dave Barnes are so so so good. Get em.

Hah. These two are hilarious. I absolutely loved getting to take there anniversary pictures. I have known Will since elementary school so he has always been a fave, but his wife, Katie, is awesome. If you don't know them then sad for you... I was surprised how good Will was throughout this whole thing.
